Pumpkin Spice Latte (Hot & Iced/D,DF)

Pumpkin Spice Latte – it’s here and it’s glorious in it’s all real food ingredient mixture!

To be honest, I had never had a pumpkin spice latte before creating this recipe so I wasn’t really sure what all the rave was about. After trying it, I can see what people go crazy about.

Although I love the subtle taste of the real pumpkin in there, I think my favorite part is the Pumpkin Spice seasoning. Or maybe I’m just partial to it because I created it and am really proud of how the flavors work together and are harmoniously balanced with the sweet and spice aspect of it.

Pumpkin Spice Latte

Makes 2, 5oz mugs

Ingredients (dairy):

  • 1 cup organic whole milk
  • 3 Tbsp organic pumpkin purée, canned
  • 2 Tbsp organic maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup organic strong coffee
  • 1/4 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 2 Tbsp vanilla extract

Optional Toppings

Directions:

In a small saucepan on low heat, add organic whole milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, and strong coffee. Cook on low heat until mixture is hot but not boiling. Whisk mixture constantly so it becomes velvety smooth and frothy.

Once mixture is hot, take it off the heat and add the Pumpkin Spice and vanilla extract; stir to combine.

Pour in mugs and add desired toppings.

Pumpkin Spice Latte: Dairy-free version

Makes 2, 6oz mugs

Ingredients (dairy-free):

  • 1 cup organic unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 3 Tbsp pumpkin puree, canned
  • 3 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup strong coffee
  • 1/2 tsp Pumpkin Spice

Optional Toppings

Directions:

In a small saucepan on low heat, add unsweetened vanilla almond milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, and strong coffee. Cook on low heat until mixture is hot but not boiling. Whisk constantly so it becomes velvety and frothy.

Once the mixture is hot, turn off the heat and add Pumpkin Spice. Stir until combined. Pour in serving mugs and add desired toppings.

Cooks note: You can use any unsweetened vanilla flavored non-dairy milk.

Optional: Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte Version (Dairy & Dairy-free)

Prepare same as warm version. Let cool 10 to 15 minutes; pour over ice cubes. Add desired toppings and serve.
